Tap to Trade Case Study
Is Tap to Trade (TTT) from Akashx a game-changer for traders? many traders, from beginners to experienced professionals, are looking for ways to simplify trade execution and improve efficiency. Tap to Trade offers a seamless way to follow expert trade signals with ease—so how well does it truly fit into a trader’s workflow? To find out, I’m conducting a real-world case study using a TradeXMastery, our trusted prop firm of choice, $100K funded account challenge to test TTT’s effectiveness.
This study will follow strict guidelines: I will only take trades provided by Akashx instructors, with no personal trades. Each trade will be managed 100% by Akashx educators, including entry, stop loss (SL), and take profit (TP) modifications - which are automatically pushed to my trading platform. My role will be to accept trades within 2 minutes of the signal and document the results.
*The goal is to successfully Pass Phase 1 (10% account growth) and Phase 2 (5% account growth) of the prop firm challenge and obtain a real 100K funded account, which will be classified as success.
TTT - Case Study Rules & Structure
✅ Account: TradeXMastery $100K funded account
✅ Trades: Only Tap to Trade (TTT) signals from Akashx instructors
✅ Risk Per Trade: 0.25% auto pre-set risk per trade (risk about $250 per trade on $100K account)
✅ Max Trades Per Day: 3 trades max (most likely 1-2 per day)
✅ Market Focus: Primarily gold (XAUUSD) & forex pairs (EURUSD, etc.)
✅ No Crypto Trades: TTT calls are not focused on crypto, so weekends may have no trades
✅ Risk Management Considerations:
Daily Drawdown Limit: 5% ($5,000) per day based on starting equity.
Total Account Drawdown Limit: 10% ($10,000) overall.
Estimated Trade Loss Buffer: About 40 consecutive losing trades needed to lose the account.

***The FIRST day started off with a slight loss. It happens; the key will be to stay consistent with the strategy. I wanted to take more TTT's however I maxed out with 3 today per the rules of this case study. Also if I had taken another one, I may have lost another trade due to gold dropping a bit more after this one closed. I call this first day a win due to keeping the losses at a minimal.

Notes: I manually made this trade on accident. I started another $50,000 Challenge that I successfully got funded with, after starting this case study. When I placed this Nas100 trade, I thought I was in that other 50k funded account. So when I lost the $102.10, I was a little relieved it was in the case study account rather than for real money - my apologies for this, it shouldn't happen again. I was rushing to try to make a trade on market reopen - because today was the Trump speech on tariffs and Nas100 was one of the ones that dropped with the market - I didn't realize it was in wrong account.

⚠️ Final Update: Challenge Account Failed
Unfortunately, on this trading day, the market experienced a sudden crash and my $50K already funded account hit the daily drawdown limit, resulting in an immediate loss of the account.
After that, I made the mistake of switching to my $100K Tap to Trade case study account and — emotionally driven — entered a few revenge trades, which led to this account also being lost.
At that point, both the funded account and the case study account were closed, marking the end of this case study.
❌ Lesson Learned: Even with tools like Tap to Trade and strong setups, discipline is everything. Emotional trading can ruin weeks of progress in a single session.
Additionally, even with tap to trades on this round - the account was down over 6% within the first 14 days. Many of the trades seemed to be going for 1:3 ratios or more - so the account could have possibly recovered. I just was not patient enough to see that happen.
***MY RECOMMENDATION FOR ANY OF THE AKASHX INSTRUCTORS WHO MIGHT REVIEW THIS TAP TO TRADE CASE STUDY: If a trade has a small stop loss or a bigger stop loss - losing the trade with default settings is still .25% of the account. So small stop losses really need to be on point with entries. The bigger stop losses might not have as big of TP opportunities, yet there are still opportunities to keep the trade profitable. One other thing to note is that I believe it is important to move the SL of trades to break even especially if the 1:1 ratio is already hit. Some trades were at 1:1 then went backwards hitting the original stop loss. Other than that, I love the Tap to Relax system where the Akashx Educators manage the trades. The timing of this round was just a rough month for the markets.

While this particular challenge ended in failure, I still strongly recommend using both the Tap to Trade tool and TradeXMastery for traders looking to get funded (I have been funded 3 times now, passing phase 1 and phase 2 of the challenges - so I know the rules are fair!)
